NEXT WEEK ON THE EVERETT LEE SHOW, HAKOJARVI PHTOGRAPHY-FINE ART

Next week on The Everett Lee Show podcast I will have none other then Jeff Hakojarvi of Hakojarvi Photography-Fine Art. I've known Jeff for many years and have known him for a "Fine Eye," in photography.

Jeff runs Hakojarvi Photography-Fine Art for quit some time and has taken many photography pices all over the local area here in Daytona Beach. Jeff is a local native of the area with a camera in hand taking some of the most awesome pictures I've seen. Jeff comes from a family of talent and that has transition into what he does best. The next time your out and about in the area and notice a photo shoot or a random guy pointing a camera around the surroundings it might just be Jeff capturing nature or something he sees that the naked eye don't.

You can find out more about Hakojarvi Photography-Fine Art in the link provided below.

EVERETT LEE SHOW UPDATE

It's been quit some time since I've wrote a blog post or even took a look at my blog. I've been dealing with since January 1st of this year the loss of my son and my mother-in-law. My wife and I have cried and embraced one another through this hard time. I've been dealing with how to cope with this tragic and sudden loss of what could have been my future to pass on all that I've done in my life. I'm not giving up and my wife isn't either. We will have kids no matter if it takes me to the point where I'm drawing social security, haha, haha.

I've taken the last almost two weeks to get away with my wife and we finally last week layed our son and my mother-in-law to rest back in my wife's home in New Jersey. A heavy weight has been lifted from my shoulders knowing that they are buried with my wife's father and her brother and I have slept better in the last few days then I have at the beginning of the year. Taking that trip up there was a challenge with maybe one person that didn't want to give me the opportunity to do this and it pisses me off that they are selfish and when the day comes for them to be in my shoes, I hope they understand and feel what I've went through. (That is another story for another time.)

As I traveled back home I did quit a bit of thinking. I looked at where I'm at and where I need to go with what I've been doing in the last two years with this podcast. I have not made one cent from doing this in my time that I've put in with getting the opportunity to talk with amazing people from all over. I want to continue with that as I want to add and network with more people that podcast as I do. I use twitter more then I do facebook and it has been really helpful with connecting with people. I don't post or share from my Everett Lee Show facebook page on to my personal profile because it's not been working as I thought it would.

The only thing and the only responce I get from my personal profile is if I post something up like I tore my ACL running to the bathroom to take a shit. I get likes and comments and when I change my profile pic to something. When I repost a podcast, nothing. It pisses me off and I'm done with that. I just stick to my Everett Lee Show page to post stuff and I thank those who see it, comment and like on the content. The other half don't give me anything and it's sad.

The last month or so, I've added merchandise to my site and it hasn't taken off like I thought. It kills me inside that I put the time and work in to give something to people who follow me and the podcast to be able to support and show that I am here. I give back with this and it has made me nothing either. It kills me and eats me up inside that I just want to punch a hole in the wall and yell to the top of my lungs with rage. The only thing I would get out of that is I wouldn't be able to talk and my hand would hurt like hell with pain. That wouldn't solve anything. The thought that just crossed my mind right now is how many people will read this rant I'm typing away with bitching about not making any kind of profit that I want to support my wife and my family with so I can walk away from the other job that I do that I don't see doing the rest of my life.

I want the best for my family and now I'm pissed and ready to do something about it.

I'm taking the fucking bull by the horns and I'm riding it till the son of a bitch falls to it's knees. Here is the update in the title post I'm getting at now.

Lets take a shot at entertainment and put my own spin on it. The thought of going LIVE 5 days a week is ringing in my head. LIVE STREAM, Periscope come to mind to have interaction with people. More guest interviews with Q and A during LIVE STREAMING. A hr or couple of hrs of the Everett Lee Show during the week. Still looking for a Co-Host or two to jump right in with me and take an journey to parts unknown. Contact me through my email (everetthangout@gmail.com SubjectLine: COHOST) if your interested in being a part of this.

I will be later in the week re-doing my site and making some changes that I see need to be done. This blog needs some changes too since I'm typing about it as well. I spent a few hours just the other day redoing Everett's Hangout Studios,I like the new structure of moving this room around and making some changes.

That is much it for now. I want to throw this out while I'm thinking about it. If you haven't picked my book, Down and Bound: A Short Story Please pick it up. I'm working on a follow up to it and will be reissuing the first one when the follow up is close to being released.

You can get it here at this link,

Will see you on Tuesday for another podcast of The Everett Lee Show.

THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT FROM OUR LOSS

I want to say thank you for the support and prayers from my family and friends during this hard and tragic time in my life right now. My wife and I appreciate all the calls and text and messaging that we have received in the last few days.

It's been rough and hard with the sudden loss that my wife and I have went through to start off 2016. I have cried and my wife has cried for the last few days now. I've cried and grieved so much that I feel that I can't cry anymore. My wife and I lost our little baby boy that she was caring at 21 weeks right before New Year's Eve. Finding out on New Year's Day that we had lost our baby was really hard to swallow with such hopes and faith that he would make it with some miracle. On top of losing our baby boy that day,my wife lost her mother, my mother-in-law as well. Two lost in one day really hurt us in a way that I don't have words to say at this time.

It was really hard for me yesterday when we went to the funeral home to discuss what we wanted done with the two people that we have lost. It was hard for me to look at the papers with my son's name on them. I couldn't look down on the table at the paper that had my son's name on it. My wife turned to me and asked what was wrong? I told her it was had to see Zachery's name on the paper next to my mother-in-law's paper. My wife put her arms around me and told me everything will be alright and she is here for me. With that little bit of comfort, it helped me push through with what we still have to do with everything for my mother-in-law my wife's mother.

I've woken up during the night and early in the morning pacing the house grieving with such a loss for my wife and I. Just about everyone that has talked to us in the last few days have said they don't know what to say with what we have went through. There isn't words to say for this when I think about it. When I hear or know of someone who experience a loss I tell them I am sorry and will keep them in my thoughts and prayers. For something like this for myself I don't have words or know what to say.

I know with the support from our family's and friends we will make it.My wife and I found on our phones late last night some old voicemail's from my mother-in-law her mother. We sat and went through the messages she left for us with some humor that came from the messages that she left had us laughing. My mother-in-law had a way to make you laugh and I will always will remember that in her.

I wish that I would have gotten to know my son. I know Zack was only 21 weeks and I know he did get to hear my voice when I would hug my wife and kiss her and I would kneel down and kiss her stomach and say to Zack that I love him and I can't wait for him to be born so I can share him the world that his mom and I live in. I wounder what kind of personality Zack would have and what would be his interest as he would gotten older. I will never know until I one day make that trip to god's heaven and I know he will be waiting for me and I know he will open his arms up to me and hug me and say I love you dad. I'll embrace him and tell him I love him too.

For now I will try to carry on with my life that will take some time to get back into with all of this and my wife will too.

Thank you all family and friends for the support again.

FELL OFF THE GRID FOR A BIT

Dame is all I have to say as of right now. I've not been doing a whole lot as of late. I've been dealing with a lot on my plate with quit a bit of things going on in my life that it just burnt me out.I had to just step away and take some time for myself. I know I've wrote and posted quit a bit on me taking time off back and fourth but, I burnt the candle out from both ends and it finally caught up with me.

First off my internet was cut off then my phone was out of commission then it seam like a domino effect with all my electronics taking a nose dive and was back in the stone age before tech. I manage to say screw it and decided to just back away for a bit and make time for myself. I needed to relax and do things and spend some time for myself. I've been doing and working at my other job and then trying to manage a podcast and website and prepare for my first child my wife will have next year. It all was a little too much and it got to me.The only thing I want to do is sleep and rest. I wasn't getting enough rest and my body was fighting me and it changed my mood with people and made me really grumpy. I had to say enough and just try to sleep and get rest and enjoy time for myself. All I was doing was doing things for others and no time for me.

I feel good now with some rest and ready to come back to it. I tweeted that a new podcast was coming and it never did. I thought I was ready and I wasn't. I want to say sorry for not delivering like I said and now since I jumped back onto the computer I took a look at my emails and noticed that my web hosting site was hacked not long ago and I can not get or contact them to log on my site. For the time being I will be using my blog and making it my place to go to for updates and post as of now. Over the weekend I will have to find a way to get my domain pulled off and put on to this blog. I will be working on that.

I want to thank Jack Flacco for helping me out with an email I sent to him not long ago and I'm in the stages of getting my first short story ready to be published.During the time I was taking off for myself I worked on this on and off and was happy to get a letter in the mail this week from Library Of Congress saying my short story is now copywrighted.I am happy with this news as of the other news I am sharing.

I finally completed Grand Theft Auto 5 with 100% during taking some time off for myself. This will be the first GTA game that I have completed with a 100%. When I get into a game I sometime loss myself in it and want to get all completed with all the stuff so I can say at least I got a 100% for this game. I'm just a gamer that loves to sit back and relax with a good game to play for a bit in between all that is going on.

IT'S A BOY

I surprised my wife this week with our family reveling the sex of our baby. We had the ultrasound person on last Saturday only show me if it was a boy or girl and not my wife because she would tell everyone before hand. The night before Thanksgiving we had her and my family over to revile we are having a boy.

With finding out I'm going to have a son it now motivates me to step up and make happen something he will be proud of what I do when he gets older. I hope he likes and takes a interest of what I do and I know the people I have gotten to know over the last two years will tell him one day about how I connected with all that I have met and talked to doing my podcast and blogging and so fourth.

After the holiday week I will get back on track and blog and post some more and prepare for what I love doing. Thank you all that support me and will get back to tweeting and sharing your tweets over the weekend and hope to find some good topics to talk about for "Off The Corner," podcast.

Rock ON!

IT'S BEEN AWHILE NOW UPDATE

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

That is a good question as of late, where the hell have I been? I've dropped off the radar in the last few weeks. Yeah, I haven't tweeted or posted or done a new podcast in the last few weeks with all that has been going on with me. I even haven't posted or wrote an article up on Irrelevant Gamer's website either.I've talked with Gabe and texted with him as of late.Gabe has been taking it easy like I have but I have more on me as of right now.

FIRST OFF:

My mind is all over the place with last week after planing a good three day weekend off to play some Destiny on my PS4.My wife finally has her PS4 and we planed this big three day weekend to kick back and play the hell out of that game.We did get to play some but,not like we wanted to.My wife found out at the begining of the week she is pregnant.I happy to say I will be a dad and she is expected or due,how ever you want to call it sometime in April or May of next year. With that we rushed to the doc's to find out how along she is and how the baby is.That kind of killed most of the days we had plan with going to the doctor and coming back and going back the following day and with her being tired we did get to play some.I had this big podcast I was planing to do sometime in those days to talk about the new DLC for Destiny and me being a father, that didn't happen.

SECOND:

With all mention above I was in or still am making plans on some changes to my website and to this blog as well.I went out in Daytona Beach a couple of nights during the three days off to find local talent in the comedy circle to see if anyone wanted to get into podcasting and be my co-host.I didn't get to find anyone and I still am looking for someone to join me on my podcast and if you or know anyone that wants to get into what I do or if you do then contact me on my website,

WEBSITE everettshangout.com

FACEBOOK facebook.com/everettshangout

TWITTER twitter.com/denver_everett

Since I'm talking about my podcast I want to announce that Everett's Hangout Podcast will be coming to an end.I know after reading that sentence with some jaws dropping why do I still need a co-host as I mention above?Everett's Hangout is not ending but turning into a network. The name of the new podcast and feel and with a filter removed is coming.Just wait and see.Everett's Hangout as of today is a production that I want to start with finding fresh and new podcasters that are looking to get out one way or another.I feel like General Zod from Superman with his hand extended out saying,"Join Me."

I had to throw out the Zod reference just for a kick. You don't have to knell before me,lol.

LAST AND FOREMOST:

In the next couple of weeks I will be wrapping up Everett's Hangout Podcast before I launch the new Podcast.I am looking at a couple of things for the final wrap.I don't know where or how it will end but with all things in this life, you have a start and finish.Starting off is hard but ending it is even harder because you don't want it to end when you are having fun.

check back to this blog or hit up the site for new updates.

Have an awesome day and will talk to you later.

Whats Happening As Of Late

It's been quit awhile now since I last blogged or posted on my blog. The last time I mention or posted on here it was an update on what I was working on. Well, I'm posting today to say I have finished my project that I was working on.

I know I sent out an email to some to give a taste of what I was doing with most of my time apart from updating everettshangout.com website and doing my podcast that I normally would do. However, I am pleased with some of the feedback I've gotten from everyone with my project I finished finally. Thank you for your feedback and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have in doing so.

I have a few things I would like to share that is going around in my head.

My website

Apart from my blog here,I'll be sometime at the beginning of next month reconstructing the site with some new things with new tabs and content. I have mapped out what I want the new look to look like. That will take some time but the end results will be awesome. I hope everyone will like the change when it comes to the site.

My Podcast

After 75 episodes of my doing my podcast,it's time for a change. I feel that it isn't like I envision it to be after this long. If someone would have told me it was easy then I would have done this way earlier in my life. No, a podcast takes time to prepare with editing and posting and sharing it with everyone that wants to hear something about topics or just talk about things that would have a person's interest. You have to keep it interesting and as of lately, that seems to be the case. My podcast is slowly sinking and I need to keep it a float. I normally share it on Facebook and on Twitter. I would have it on my Everett's Hangout Facebook page facebook.com/everettshangout and then share it on my personal page for friends and family. That is not working out.

From now on, links to my podcast will just be on my Everett's Hangout Facebook page because, some of my family and friends on my personal page don't give me any feedback from it. Some of you that do take the time and click on the link to it I thank you, you know who you are. Thanks for the support.

This is a long process to get out and I take the time to do this because I love doing podcasting. I've been doing this solo for quit some time and one of the changes I'll be making is finding a co-host. I need someone to bounce back and fourth some good conversations with and not just me doing this by myself. I'm going to change it up a bit and make my podcast a little bit more edger and remove some of the filter with a little bit none filter. I have some new ideals that I'm throwing around in my head that I want to try and see if that will work or not. You don't know unless you try it.

In the next few weeks I hope to bring something new and you'll just have to wait and see. As for the time I'm taking a break and will not be recording new podcast until I get back from my short vacation to New York. Look for the new Podcast and new look and sound in September,I know you won't be disappointed.

My Blog

I'll be posting some more to this blog with updates or what I've been doing as of late with what revolves around my world. I would like to post at least two or three times a week on here to bring you all to this blog. Or, I'll just post when I feel like it like I am now, lol. No I'm going to work on it here and hope you will take the time to read what I type each week. No matter what it is you will read and share what I blog about.

I want to thank you all for your time today and hope everyone has a good weekend.

A LITTLE LESS THIS MONTH

What is up everyone? First off, what a weekend it has been. I want to say how sad I am for the passing of one of the Great WWE Hall Of Famer "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's passing. My thoughts and prayers goes out to the family or Roddy Piper, you will be missed.

Second, congrats to "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey for her win at UFC 190 against Bethe Correia and #AndStill Champ. It was awesome seeing Ronda win after 34sec with a KO in the first round. Congrats Ronda.

This month for August, it will be just a little bit slow for me. I have quit a bit to do for this month and with me taking my trip up to New York for WWE SummerSlam 2015, there will not be that many new podcast out for this month. I will pick things back up at the begining of September. I am focused right now on a couple of things I want to get ready before I take off to New York in a few weeks. As of right now I can't say what is going on,but after I get back from my trip, I will talk about it on my podcast or blog about it. I hope everyone understands and I don't want to give the impression that,I am not into doing my podcast or blogging or posting on my website.

I will be adding from time to time content to my site which you can find here everettshangout.com if you haven't or have been to the site. Also, I'll still send or retweet on my twitter twitter.com/denver_everett and on facebook facebook.com/everettshangout

Thank You for the ONES who support me at what I do, YOU know who YOU are, thanks, Denver

CULT FILMS,EP56,WITH TODD STARUCH

"Cult Films" is the topic this week at Everett's Hangout. I sit down and discuss this topic with Film Critic "The Horror Nerd," Todd Staruch. I mention on the last blog post about how I have for awhile now wanting to do a topic on this subject. I wanted to discuss what makes a film to be considered a "Cult Film?" I could not do this task at hand by myself. I couldn't think of anyone else who to join me on this topic. That is when I turn to "The Horror Nerd," Todd Staruch.

Todd Staruch reviews and talks about "Horror" films with other films as well for "The Indie Lounge TV,"with host Mandy Del Rio. When I watched Todd with his view and opinions on films, I knew he was the person I was looking for. I had a blast having Todd Staruch on talking about "Cult Films" and what are favorite films that we enjoyed watching that would be considered in that arera of films.

Enjoy hearing our talk on the subject of "Cult Films" and read on about Todd Staruch below.

My love of horror films goes back to when I was 7 or 8 years old and they used to show "monster movies" on WOR in New Jersey on Saturday afternoons. I fell in love with these Kaiju films, and started to seek out other horror related programs on TV. Of course, my mother was not thrilled by this, but luckily, I had a favorite aunt who used to indulge this behavior.

Once into my teens, I would check out horror films whenever I could, but it was not easy. The home video revolution had not quite started yet, and there were few horror films shown in the theater in my town. Yet, I used to drag my dad to the movies where we saw such fare as "The Fog", "Halloween", "Friday the 13th" and other well known horror classics.

Over time, I also began to seek out more extreme stuff, and I clearly remember when "Faces of Death" was all the rage. Of course back then we had no idea that most of it was staged bullshit, but we didn't care! We thought we were watching something "underground" and that we were part of a secret club that no one else understood. Everyone else thought we were a little strange, but being a little strange is part of my endearing charm.

As a got older and into my 40's (I'm 44 now), I developed a love of horror of any kind. Supernatural horror, slashers, ghosts, extreme gore, and even "shit" horror. I will watch anything and everything, and I have amassed quite a collection over the years. I have been fortunate enough along the way to meet great people who share my passion for horror movies, and that has made the journey into darkness that much better. I have a group of 4-5 guys that I have been watching horror with for the last 17 years or so. They are my freaks, they know who they are, and they know how I feel about them.

For a list of my favorite horror films, click HERE, http://www.horrornerd.net/favorite-films.html

Beyond films, I am a frequent attendee of horror and film conventions, and I have found that horror fans are the greatest people in the world. I have met so many great fans, actors, actresses, etc. that I have lost count. People ask us all the time, "Why do you like these films?" My answer is, "We all have darkness inside of us, and horror films allow us to indulge that darkness vicariously." Among my fellow horror fans, we all feel a connection because we all "get it".

I generally attend Monster Mania in Cherry Hill, NJ and Chiller Theatre in Parsippany, NJ twice a year, along with the awesome Macabre Faire Film Festival on Long Island. I also attend many other events throughout the year, and I have begun hosting my own horror film screenings called Grindhouse Night's at Cafe Z. If you see me at an event, please do not hesitate to come up and say hello. I promise I won't bite........hard.

Well, I think I've talked about myself long enough. I hope this gives you a little insight into who I am. Please, fellow freaks, do NOT hesitate to get in touch with me. You can send me a message by clicking HERE. I'm actually not that scary. OK, maybe a little.

Gotta go now.....can't sleep.....clowns will eat me.....

REVIEW: DEVIL MAY CRY DEFINITIVE EDITION,PS4

DMC:DEVIL MAY CRY:DEFINITIVE EDITION

With a handful of Playstation 3 games being ported over to the "Next Gen" consoles, video game makers have added little perks for each of their ports to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.Without any exception Capcom and Ninja Theory have done the same for DMC:Devil May Cry:Definitive Edition for the Playstation 4. How is this different from the "Last Gen" console? Well, after playing this game for almost a week now, I am happy with what has been done. I will break it down some with what I've experience with my hands on this game.

RIGHT OFF FROM THE START

As soon as I put in the game and let it loaded up, I noticed the DLC at the beginning of the game. I had a choice to chose from "Vergil's Downfall," or "Devil May Cry" to play.I started with the main game and was impressed with how fast this game loads up. The cinematic intro of the game looks good at 1080p with 60fps. Just watching the beginning of this hyped me up to start slicing through demons.Soon as I took control of Dante, all bets were off.

I sliced and diced through Demons as I progressed through 20 levels of carnage. I upgraded skills for Dante,to pull off stylish combos with each weapon available to my desposal.Between each level, I had the option to change Dante's Skins or Weapon Skins. I mixed it up a bit here with Dante's look and weapon skins.

The game play is smooth with each attack executed to send Demon scum back to where they came from. Capcom and Ninja Theory have mixed it up with some of the hidden items throughout each level of madness. I had too search each level looking for "Lost Souls," "Keys" and "Secret Doors." All of these items for the most part are in their original location, but some are not where they were as before.I didn't mind the change with obtaining "Keys," which allowed me to open any "Secret Door" instead of having one key or two keys for each door.

MAKING IT THROUGH THE GAME

The story of DMC:Devil May Cry with it's cinematic cut scenes offered one new scene with Virgil's modem for shooting Lilith in the stomach and ending her with a head shoot. This is shown before the scene where Kat,lays out the plan for Dante and Virgil's decent to Mundus's tower. I really enjoy watching the final battle with Dante and Mundus.

The cut scenes in all of their glory was fantastic as I finished Mundus off and was prepare for my battle with Virgil at the end of the game. It's been awhile since I played Devil May Cry and had to remember how to take Virgil down.It came back to me and I had no problem with finishing Virgil off.

VIRGIL'S DOWNFALL

As I mention before,DMC:Devil May Cry:Definitive Edition contains the DLC of Virgil's Downfall. I didn't mind playing this DLC when I had it for the Playstation 3. I went through this short DLC while I enjoyed the story with Virgil after his battle with Dante at the end of Devil May Cry . I took on the role as Virgil and made my way though purgatory fighting some familiar Demons with a few new Demons to slice through.

I love seeing this in 1080p with the 60fps cinematic cut scene made me really want to see what I will be able to unlock at the end of the game.Playing as Virgil took me a bit to get use to after playing as Dante. I did manage to upgrade Virgil's skills to perform some stylish combo's.

In this DLC I really like the story of how Virgil fights within himself to gain power to over come the lost of losing Dante and Kat. The fight with the Hollow Virgil is tough at times because you are fighting against a doppelganger of Virgil.

With the completion of Virgil's Downfall we get the same skins as before with the Classic Virgil skin from Devil May Cry 3. Also we get something new with this DLC for the first time. You get to play the Bloody Palace Mode as Virgil.

BLOODY PALACE MODE:VIRGIL

Just like with Dante, you play as Virgil in the famous Bloody Palace Mode. I played this for a bit and didn't make it too far because I wasn't fully upgraded just yet. I had to give it a try to see how this felt and I will tell you this, it is fun to play as Virgil. I made my way through some of the levels before I was taken out. I want to see how far I can get as soon as I get Virgil upgraded to the max.

GAME PLAY MODES:

Devil May Cry offers in both the main game and Virgil's Downfall,Turbo Mode,Hardcore Mode and Style Mode. Each mode as listed speaks for itself. Turbo Mode is more of a fast pace of the game turned up with Hardcore Mode for more of the Hardcore Devil May Cry players taking on more enemy's with it being a little bit more harder. Style Mode is where you can create some of the most Stylish combo's on Demons. Demons only take damage when you reach a S rank in combo's performed. I enjoyed giving these modes a try and really like Style mode for creating some combo's to kill Demons.

IS THIS PORT WORTH IT AT ALL?

With DMC:Devil May Cry:Definitive Edition and the new content with all of the DLC rolled up all in one, I would have to say for the price of this game ($40), you can't go wrong if you are a fan of this reboot made by Capcom and Developers,Ninja Theory. If you missed this the first go around then I recommend picking this one up if you are into third person hack and slashing games. With this game you will not get tired of creating combo's and the fast pace of the mechanics that was reinvented at it's best. I was septic with the first go around of Devil May Cry but after getting my hands on this I really got into it.

Now with this being ported over to the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One, I am happy with this port because it was made for the "Next Gen" console. If you haven't picked it up by all means pick it up today and let your inner Demon free with DMC:Devil May Cry:Definitive Edition.

SCREENSHOTS OF GAME PLAY WAS TAKEN FROM THE PLAYSTATION 4 BY DENVER EVERETT.
